Based on the north bank of the River Tees, Wilton Engineering specialises in designing, manufacturing, coating and loading out large complicated structures for industries including oil and gas, subsea, marine, decommissioning and offshore wind.
Its 112-acre construction facility presents some of the largest construction halls in the UK, which are supported by three load out quays, two RoRo quays, Wet Dock and also three slipways for launching directly into the River Tees.
The company also provides in-house services and an extensive network of vendors covering storage, welding and fabrication, chartering and transport, vessel support and the hire and purchase of plant equipment.
Tax zones offer incentives to businesses such as no stamp duty, full business rates relief for up to five years and enhanced allowances for construction and machinery investment.
Businesses within customs zones will receive a range of tariff benefits, including duty deferral while the goods remain on-site and suspended import VAT on goods entering the customs zone.
