ABLE Seaton Port

ABLE Seaton Port is located on the north bank of the River Tees and covers 126 acres including one of the world’s largest dry docks of 25 acres. It is at the heart of the UK offshore wind zones and crucially the infrastructure is already in place, making it available now for the offshore wind sector to use.

Planning consents are in place for offshore wind manufacturing activities and the full erection and assembly of offshore wind turbines, making it a great location for manufacturing, construction and deployment of offshore wind turbines and associated components.

It is capable of handling all types of offshore construction vessels with significant crane capacity and quays which have been constructed particularly to suit the requirements of the heavy fabrication industry. Quay depth is up to -15m chart datum and are designed with a quay loading capacities up to 60T/m². There is over 9,000m² of indoor fabrication, warehousing and storage space available and over 3,000m² of welfare and office facilities that can be modified to suit client requirements.

Businesses within customs zones will receive a range of tariff benefits, including duty deferral while the goods remain on-site and suspended import VAT on goods entering the customs zone.
